Advancing Digital Health: 2026 GWDD Student Posters

The Center for Computational and Digital Health Innovation proudly celebrates undergraduate researchers presenting their Graduation with Departmental Distinction (GWDD) posters in Biomedical Engineering. Mentored by Center faculty, these students are advancing digital health across Al-driven drug discovery, synthetic biology, and immune engineering.

The posters were presented on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the Wilkinson Lobby.

Featured Posters

Harrison Kane

Harrison Kane
Mentor: Supervisor: Jessilyn Dunn, PhD

For his senior research project, biomedical engineering student and Center member Harrison Kane used wearable data to detect atherosclerosis, analyzing heart rate and activity patterns to improve early disease detection.

Marshall Seligson

Marshall Seligson
Supervisor: Dr. Daniel Reker

For his senior research project, biomedical engineering student and Center member Marshall Seligson used machine learning to design nanoparticle-based cancer therapies, building a high-throughput pipeline to predict stable drug combinations and improve treatment effectiveness.

Mahi Patel

Mahi Patel
Supervisor: Dr. Cameron Kim

For her senior research project, biomedical engineering student Mahi Patel investigated how curiosity can be developed in engineering education, identifying gaps in current curricula and highlighting new ways to measure and foster sustained curiosity.

Veronika Kostina

Veronika Kostina
Supervisor: Dr. Jason Luck

For her senior research project, biomedical engineering student and Center member Veronika Kostina developed an algorithm to detect head impacts using wearable biosensor data, improving accuracy beyond traditional methods and helping advance safety in youth sports.
