Duke Launches New Certificate in Computational and Digital Health

The Duke Center for Computational and Digital Health Innovation is proud to announce the Computational and Digital Health (CDH) Certificate Program, launching in Fall 2025.

This interdisciplinary program offers training at the intersection of computational modeling, AI, wearable sensors, and digital twins—all grounded in bioethics and clinical translation. Designed for Duke graduate students in Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Medicine, the certificate prepares the next generation of leaders to transform healthcare with data-driven, patient-centered solutions.

A hallmark of the program is active participation in Communities of Practice (CoP), where trainees engage with peers, faculty, and industry experts on pressing issues such as algorithmic bias, secure data use, and equitable deployment of digital health technologies.

“This program meets a critical need for professionals who not only master advanced computational tools but also understand the ethical and clinical complexities of bringing them into practice,” said Center Director Amanda Randles.
