About Communities of Practice

Communities of Practice (CoPs) are at the heart of the Computational and Digital Health Innovation Certificate. Open to trainees, clinicians, and faculty, CoPs provide a space for conversation and reflection on the present and future of computational and digital health innovation. These gatherings bring together diverse participants, from students to industry partners, to explore emerging technologies, share perspectives, and consider the ethical and societal dimensions of the field.

Through interactive activities like short research talks, written reflections, and public engagement projects, participants not only build technical and communication skills but also expand their professional networks. CoPs meet several times each year, offering opportunities to dive into timely topics such as algorithmic bias, wearable technologies, and secure data use, while fostering the collaborative and ethical capacities essential for leadership in digital health.
